Prayer event planned outside Parkwest Medical Center for Friday night

Everyone is welcome to attend. They plan to pray for the medical community and patients.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Community members have organized a prayer event Friday night at Parkwest Medical Center.

The group plans to gather outside the hospital to pray for the medical staff and patients, according to a post on the hospital's Facebook page.

"No contact with others is needed. But “where two or more are gathered,” great things can & will happen. Cov-ID isn’t the only thing that can be spread when you fight in prayer. The way we see it, this is an opportunity to put up a hedge of protection around the front line. It’s a chance to pray against fear, and for peace in a storm. It is an opportunity to pray for healing above and beyond what eyes have seen and for miracles that only God can do. This is a chance to encourage those who are so afraid. I know I have loved ones on that front line, I’m sure many of you do too...or are in the front lines," the post reads.

The gathering will be in the new surgery lots at the hospital, just past the roundabout. The organizers say everyone can pray from inside their car.
