A new healthcare partnership promises better care for East Tennessee cancer patients and their families.Covenant Health and the Thompson Caner Center have announced they are joining with Texas-based M.D. Anderson Physicians Network."I think this new partnership between M.D. Anderson and Thompson will save hundreds or even thousands of lives," said Mark Strader, a Knoxville cancer survivor. "I think it will give people hope of having a chance of beating cancer."Thompson is one of only eight sites in the country meeting the criteria to participate in this prestigious program.
