KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — No victims were found in the parking lot of the El Patron Event Center at Knoxville Center Mall after witnesses said several people began shooting off guns in the area early Monday morning, a news release from the Knoxville Police Department said.
KPD officers responded to the incident shortly after 3 a.m., according to the release, after receiving multiple reports of gunfire in the parking lot of the El Patron Event Center.
Officers found about 20 shell casings in various spots of the parking lot, the release said. They are continuing to investigate the incident, speaking with witnesses and reviewing security video.
