(WBIR - Knoxville) Saturday is an important day in East Tennessee history: the first flakes of the infamous blizzard of 1993 started falling on March 12, 1993.
That snow blanketed East Tennessee with 16 inches of snow over two days and left thousands of people stranded or without power.
On this day 23 years ago, the "Storm of the Century" Blizzard of '93 was about to unfold❄! Quite a different story today with the warmth🌞!
