Another 2.1 earthquake shakes up Meigs and Rhea counties

Small earthquakes continue to shake up East Tennessee.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported another weak 2.1 magnitude earthquake near the Meigs/Rhea county lines about 4 miles north of Decatur.

The quake struck around 1:11 p.m. Wednesday.

The area has seen a notable uptick in small quakes and aftershocks recently following a 4.4 magnitude earthquake that struck roughly in the same area last week.
