A Louisville man is dead after a single-vehicle accident in Blount County Sunday morning.
Blount County Sheriff's Department says Michael Clark Jones, 22, was killed when his cars struck a tree. Deputies responded to the 2900 block of Miser Station Road at 5:30 Sunday morning to reports of a car crash.
They believe Jones was traveling southwest on Miser Station Road when he crossed over the center line and veered off the left side of the roadway, traveling about 40 feet before striking a tree head-on.
He was not wearing his seat belt. Airbags did deploy.
The Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the accident
