Blackberry Farm to add 200 jobs in next two years

The farm announced this month that it's adding 200 jobs over the next two years.

Blackberry Farm is giving hundreds of people work in East Tennessee.

The farm announced this month that it's adding 200 jobs over the next two years. It comes as the Luxury hotel in Walland prepares to open a new resort property called Blackberry Mountain.

Blackberry Farm is raising the starting minimum hourly wage for all employees to $11, with some hourly positions starting at $12 to $15. Positions also include a benefits package with medical insurance, vision and dental insurance and 401K match, according to a release from Blackberry Farm. To apply, click here.

The resort is expected to open in 2019.

Blackberry Mountain is in Walland, located just 20 minutes away from the Blackberry Farm property and 30 minutes from Knoxville’s McGhee Tyson Airport.

It's a 5,200 acre resort property which will have six traditional style cabins, 13 cottages, and multi-bedroom homes.

"Team members enjoy opportunities to dine in the resort’s restaurants after six months of employment and experience an annual overnight stay beginning after one year of employment. Activity benefits commence immediately upon employment, inviting team members to explore the land and amenities at the Farm," the release states.

Blackberry Farm initiated a World Travel Program in 2017. Its goal is to provide inspiration and aide for employees to travel and discover the world and the hospitality industry beyond Blackberry Farms.
