It's race week in Bristol and as fans start to move into the campground, they're learning about a new policy Bristol Motor Speedway says they have to follow.

Fans are used to taking coolers and bags into the track but this year, BMS asks they be clear.

Each guest is permitted to carry in one clear bag measuring no larger than 14" x 14" x 14". Coolers can't be wider than 14", too.

A small purse/clutch also may be brought in providing it is no larger than 4" x 6". All bags will be inspected upon entry. All styles of clear bags are acceptable providing they meet the size requirements. These include clear cinch sacks, clear diaper bags, Ziploc bags, etc.

Bristol Motor Speedway General Manager Jerry Caldwell said the safety of fans is always a priority.

"During our normal course of business we review things after every race and this clear bag policy, we feel, is a way to be safe but also better for the fans because they can get through the lines quicker," Caldwell said.

If you're bringing a cooler, it cannot have glass inside.

Each guest can bring one carry-in item in addition to a cooler.
