Community grieving over baby Evelyn will gather in memorial service

Organizers said it's a chance for the community to move forward.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WCYB) —  A memorial service for baby Evelyn Boswell is set for Friday in Kingsport.

People across the regions are continuing to grieve, following the heartbreaking end to the search for Evelyn.

Pastor Jonathan Lovelace is the guest speaker, and various dedications to Evelyn will take place during the service.

Co-organizer Kristyn Page told WBIR's affiliate station News 5 this can be a chance for the community to move forward.

In a statement, Evelyn's family thanked community members for their support during the search for the 15-month-old girl. 

The show of love and support has not gone unnoticed. The family appreciates the prayers, memorials and love that been shown for Evelyn. In such a dark time, it shows there are loving people out there, and all we want is Justice for Evelyn, and whoever is responsible to pay for the crime.
