(WBIR-GATLINBURG) The historic Ogle Cabin gained a new home Wednesday night.

Crews lifted and moved the old home to the City of Gatlinburg Welcome Center on the Parkway, where it will be preserved.

The cabin dates back to the 1800s.

It was donated to the city during a ceremony in October 2015.

The new Anakeesta Village development will take the cabin's old location.

The 50,000 square foot development will offers shops and a lift to take visitors up to an AerialQuest Adventure Park.

Anakeesta Village and AerialQuest are set to open in May 2017.
