Dolly Parton’s newest album “Pure & Simple,” is out with 10 new songs from the East Tennessee native.

During a Facebook Live chat with fans on Friday, the singer said the song “Outside Your Door” is one of her favorites from the new album.

“It’s just such a cute, fun song,” she said.

That is one of the new songs Parton is performing during her “Pure & Simple” tour. She started the tour in June, and will perform in over 60 cities during her first major U.S. and Canada tour in more than 25 years.

The Sevier County native will perform in front of a sold-out crowd in Pigeon Forge on Nov. 15.

During the Facebook Live chat, Parton revealed that she’s also releasing a children’s album in October. All of the proceeds from that album will go to Parton’s Imagination Library, which provides free books to children from birth to age 5.

“It’s songs written for children based on the things that we do through Imagination Library and some additional things I’ve written for kids,” she said.

Parton is also releasing a Christmas album next year.

She says she doesn’t necessarily get nervous before a concert, but she does get some butterflies of anticipation.

“I’m like a racehorse pacing in my stall backstage,” she said. “It’s not fear, but it’s an excitement. But as soon as I hear that down beat or when I hear my name and the lights hit me, I’m all yours the. I don’t think about nothing else but entertaining you.”

Asked by a fan what keeps her so young, Parton said “I just don’t have time to get old.”

“I love my work,” she said. “I have a good attitude, and I spend a lot of time with the kids. I love the kids. I think if you surround yourself with little children, there’s an energy there that I think just makes you want to be one of them and it kind of restores you and recharges you.”

Parton said she doesn’t know if there’s such a thing as a “perfect song.”

“I think you just have to write whatever comes out of your heart and your soul … I just write whatever jumps out and I just hope it’s good. Sometimes it is and sometimes it ain’t, but writing is a wonderful outlet, so continue writing no matter what,” she said.

There are two special version of the “Pure & Simple” album. One is a partnership with Cracker Barrel that includes two of Parton’s classics: Jolene and 9 to 5. It also comes with a 48-page booklet with pictures, stories and quotes from Parton’s career.

A double-disc version of “Pure & Simple” with “Dolly’s Biggest Hits” is available at Wal-Mart.
