Most Dolly Parton fans know the story of how the legendary entertainer got her signature look, but that revelation took Jimmy Fallon by surprise on The Tonight Show.

"When I was little, I patterned my look after the town trollop," she laughed. "I thought she was the most beautiful thing, all the makeup, the hair, tight clothes. All the things I wanted."

The woman obviously made an impact on Dolly's life, and she's excited to play the part of the "painted lady" in her next NBC movie, which will air on November 30.

It will be a holiday-themed sequel to last year's huge hit, Coat of Many Colors, which debuted last December to nearly 16 million viewers.

Dolly said the movie will be called Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love. Just like the original, the movie is inspired by Dolly's childhood growing up in the Smoky Mountains.

In addition to the movie, Dolly's in the midst of a nationwide tour for her new album, Pure and Simple.

She also has a children's book called Coat of Many Colors that will be out on October 18. All the proceeds will go to her Imagination Library.
