Don't be 'April-fooled' by these funny -- fake -- stories

A few East Tennesseans got a chuckle off of these jokes for April Fools'.
Fog rolls over the Smokies.

Be careful what you read today. Some organizations are spreading "not-so-true" news on April Fools' Day.

If these next two articles look a little off... It's because they are, but it's all in good fun.

Those two such articles mention a potential Dolly Parton cruise ship and a second Grand Canyon but in the Smoky Mountains.

The first article from the Pigeon Forge TN Guide says Dolly Parton made a "surprise Easter announcement" that she had partnered up with Royal Caribbean to launch a new faith-based cruise ship. The article says it'd be called, "Parton of the Seas."

The article mentions bringing in musical performances, Southern homestyle cooking and even having real cabins... On the boat.

"Putting the 'cabin' back into cabins!"

It is definitely something East Tennesseans can dream of, though, a cruise ship dedicated to Dolly Parton.

The second article from Visit My Smokies says a sinkhole appeared in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It mentions the sinkhole would eventually grow and grow until it became the size of the Grand Canyon. They say the park service is planning tours of the new, up and coming "Great Canyon," and the article also mentions the canyon would fully form by spring 2019.

"If the National Park Service can find a local business to partner with, there will likely be a bungee jumping station at the Great Canyon. Visitors will have the chance to dive off of the Skywalk for an exhilarating plunge into the heart of the sinkhole."

The article mentions at the very end that it was all an April Fools' Day joke!
