ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — An East Tennessee family is stranded in Abu Dhabi and searching for a way home.
Dominic James Wright and his family have been away from home for 7 months.
He's a professional basketball player. Due to his contract and complications with airports taking COVID-19 precautions, he and his family haven't been able to get a flight back to the United States.
He said he and his wife Angela just want to find a way home.
They've even reached out to lawmakers to see if they can help.
"People reached out on our behalf to the governor, to senators in Tennessee, Senator McNally, Senator Alexander. We were blown away that so many people cared that we were trying to get home. our life is based on our faith - to try to keep our faith strong and to know that someway God will provide," Angela Phillips Wright said.
Brandon and Angela want to thank everyone who has reached out to try and help.
They hope that as their story is heard and they will soon find a way to get back home.
