University of Tennessee nursing graduates received an inspirational speech from the wife of county music star Thomas Rhett over the weekend.
"Nursing at its core is not about taking vitals and wearing scrubs. It's about caring for people," Lauren Akins said.
She graduated from the nursing program in 2012.
Since then, she's worked with Love One International. The non-profit works to build up communities in third world countries.
