The Eric Berry Foundation is holding a football camp later this month named in memory of Zaevion Dobson.
Dobson, 15, was killed on the night of Dec. 17, 2015. He was protecting his friends in the Lonsdale area, where he lived. Police said Dobson and the others were innocent victims caught in the midst of gunfire.
The camp, which is called Zaevion Dobson 29/24 Strong Playmakers Camp, will be hosted by James and Eric Berry, former UT defensive back and VFL.
The camp will be held at the Samson Sports Complex in Knoxville, 234 Dale Ave NW from 6:30 – 9 p.m. on April 20. Check-in starts at 5:30. It costs $5 and includes a t-shirt, hydration, and a meal.
Eric and his dad are also hosting a Father & Son football camp the same day at the same place from 5 to 6 p.m.
Players can be from ages 8 to 18.
