School of Rock teens perform at Rhythm N' Blooms

They're playing at Bonnaroo next month.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ā€” They may still be in school, but these kids can rock!

Playing at Rhythm N' Blooms is a first for the School of Rock House Band.

"This is our first time. We were super excited when we got asked to," said Rosey Jones. "I feel like sometimes people underestimate us and people are like, ' oh great, a bunch of teenagers.' But, then we go out and just rock it."

The House Band gives kids a taste of a music career since they perform at different gigs and festivals. You have to audition, so only the best of the best School of Rock students make it on stage.

"Most of the kids in this group have been with School of Rock for a few years, so remembering back to when they couldn't play but a couple of bar chords and just seeing the growth is huge and seeing how much fun they have on stage. A lot of them really enjoy the music and we see that on stage," said owner Greg Franklin.

The School of Rock House Band performs on Saturday at noon at the Kid Curry stage.
