"I got for my birthday cat and dog food for my birthday instead of getting presents and donate it to the animal shelter," Minton said.

On Friday, the boys delivered a car-load of food to the Jefferson County Humane Society.

"It makes me feel excited, happy," Minton said.

Their donations will go a long way.

"We don't have any funding so all of our donations count even more," executive director Julia Carter said. "Our dog food shelf was actually had three bags left on it today, so these guys have, they've really given the animals more of a gift than anything."

The boys are grateful for the help from their friends.

"I would say, thanks for the dog and cat food, I couldn't have done it without you and just thanks for the dog and cat food," Minton said.

With Christmas around the corner, the boys hope their kind act inspires someone else.
