'It's really happening!!!' | Cruze Farm opening in downtown Knoxville this weekend

The speculation is over: Cruze Farm is opening up a new location at the Miller's Building on Saturday at noon, and it held a soft opening Friday night!

If you're in the mood for ice cream the next time you're in downtown Knoxville, you now have an East Tennessee staple to choose from!

Cruze Farm Dairy announced on its Cruze Farm Girl Instagram account what many had speculated: It has opened a new shop off Gay Street. The official grand opening will happen on Saturday at noon.

The video features the iconic red checker-clad girls visiting spots in the heart of downtown such as Maple Hall and the Tennessee Theatre with ice cream and milk in hand before revealing an August 2018 opening date:

Of course, this announcement feels like it was a long overdue for some -- a few even going so far as to say that they're rethinking their grad school plans to take advantage of the upcoming addition to downtown Knoxville.

The new location is in the Miller's Building at 445 Gay Street.

On Friday night, some of the Farm Girls were working past their 9 to 5 shifts at the new location to hold a soft opening ahead of the Saturday grand opening. Check it out:
