The Knox County Sheriff's Office took a juvenile into custody who reportedly ran after a fire damaged a Farragut home Wednesday night.

According to Knox County Rural Metro Fire, crews were called out to a house fire in Farragut at Midhurst Drive around 9:50 p.m.

The fire was contained to a bedroom before it was quickly put out in about 8 minutes. The damage is believed to be minimal and no one was hurt, however Rural Metro said the family did lose a cat to the fire.  

According to Rural Metro, a juvenile ran from the home who is believed to have started the fire. KCSO later took them into custody in connection with the fire, and no charges have been filed at this time. 

The investigation into the fire continues.
