(WBIR, Knoxville) - Jacket weather is already here this year, and that means many people are looking for a way to stay warm this winter.
One way you can help is by donating your gently used jackets to Knox Area Rescue Ministries' "Coats for the Cold" campaign.
They need jackets of all sizes, especially children's coats and larger sizes like extra-extra large and above.
For the next several weeks, you can drop off your coats at any KARM thrift store or Prestige Cleaner.
"When you get up in the morning and it's very cold outside, you have something warm to put on and many do not. So anything that you have in excess that you can give away will help someone in need," said Sue Renfro with KARM.
KARM will be accepting jackets until November 26th, and then distribution will be December 7th at the KARM thrift store on Hall of Fame Drive. No preregistration is required.
