Knox Area Rescue Ministries will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday morning for additions to its Serenity Women's Recovery Facility.
The facility is home to KARM's long-term residential addiction recovery program for women. The construction will fill a portion of its $5 million "Restoring" Capital Campaign to update the facilities of the ministry.
KARM says that the construction for the women's facility will take close to a year. KARM says the expansion will allow more space and resources to serve the East Tennessee women in need.
The groundbreaking will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Serenity Ministries facility in East Knoxville.
