For the last 12 years, a Knoxville couple has transformed their home into a haunted house benefiting an East Tennessee charity.

"About 90 percent of the whole house has been taken over," Jeremy Stocks said. "There's an itty bitty square, probably 10 by 10 that we live in for the whole month."

This year, the haunted house will benefit the Love Kitchen. The Stocks ask those who want to enjoy their house to bring non-perishable food items to donate.

"We'd love to fill up the back of our truck with non-perishables, but the ultimate goal is that we'd have to rent a U-Haul to take everything down there to the Love Kitchen," Stocks said. "That would be amazing."

In previous years, the Stocks have collected coats for KARM and also helped the Wounded Warrior Project.

"We just like to give back," Stocks said. "If you have it, you should give it."

Each year the Stocks add new amusements to their haunted house so that even their faithful visitors have new amusements to enjoy.

The Stocks' haunted house will be open Saturday, Oct. 28 and on Halloween starting at 5:30 p.m.

The haunted house is located at 5940 Tennyson Drive in Knoxville.
