Phil Bredesen conceded race to Marsha Blackburn.
First words out of his mouth “I applied for this job and got a rejection letter.”
He said he called Blackburn to concede but she was on stage giving her speech.
Blackburn, Bredesen, and Republican Tim Burchett were all giving speeches at the same time. Burchett gave his victory speech after winning U.S. House District 2.

The NBC News Decision Desk as of 10 p.m. ET said Democrats have flipped 11 seats. Republicans flipped 1 seat. At this time, Democrats have a net gain of +10.

Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett tweeted to Twitter asking for a little help. Apparently, four of the state's accounts were locked about an hour ago.

Before Bredesen addresses the crowd, he wants to see the results from Davidson and Shelby Counties.

Republican Mark Green won election to U.S. House in Tennessee's 7th congressional district at 8:08 p.m.
Republican Scott DesJarlais wins re-election to U.S. House in Tennessee's 4th congressional district at 8:12 p.m.

Even with multiple media outlets calling the race for Marsha Blackburn, the Phil Bredesen campaign is not throwing in the towel yet.

A band is playing at Democrat Phil Bredesen's watch party with a couple hundred people inside the ballroom of the Hilton in Downtown Nashville. They’re expecting roughly 600 people tonight.
Supporters young and old wait for Bill Lee to take the stage.

Karl Dean’s campaign manager just took the stage to encourage supporters, stating that the early vote totals so far are from very small counties and to hold out for the larger areas.

The Bill Lee campaign put the NBC coverage on the project screen at the event near Nashville. There were much louder cheers when people saw the NBC projection that Bill Lee will win to be the next Governor of Tennessee.

10News crews are scattered across East Tennessee and in Nashville tracking all the major races including Tennessee Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House District 2, Tennessee House District 13, and Tennessee House District 18.

Power outages across Knox County caused multiple polling locations to lose power and use paper ballots Tuesday morning.
The affected locations included Shoreline Church, Sequoyah Hills School, Cedar Bluff Middle School, A.L. Lotts Elementary School, Bluegrass Elementary School, Mt. Harmony Baptist Life Center, South Knoxville Optimist Club, South Doyle High School, and Pond Gap School.
All Knox County voting precincts had had their power restored as of 12 p.m. Tuesday, Administrator of Elections Cliff Rodgers said.
Everyone has been able to vote because the polling locations either have paper ballots or battery-operated voting machines that do not rely on power, Rodgers said.
