Oak Ridge police find teen that's been missing since Halloween

Shayla Cook, 16, returned to her family after she was believed to have left her home in Oak Ridge on Oct. 31.

UPDATE: Oak Ridge Police said they have found 16-year-old Shayla Cook and she is back with her family.

According to ORPD, Cook came to the police department overnight Thursday.

Police thanked everyone that helped in the search.

Oak Ridge Police have asked for help finding a missing 16-year-old who was last seen on Halloween.

Shayla Cook, 16, was seen at her home in Oak Ridge on Oct. 31. She was reported missing the following day by a family member who believes she left on her own and may be with a non-custodial parent.

According to police, investigators followed up on multiple leads from family members and neighbors attempting to locate Shayla but did not have success. Oak Ridge investigators said they do not have reason to believe Shayla is in danger.
