Tennessee Whiskey Glaze
Makes about 4 cups
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of pineapple juice
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1.5 cup onion, minced
- 1 cup Tennessee Whiskey
- 1/2 cup garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions:
- In a large sauce plan sweat garlic and onion over medium heat until it becomes translucent. Then add all remaining ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil and then reduce down to a simmer and continue to simmer for about 1.5-2 hours or until the mixture has reduced in volume to about half and becomes slightly thickened and syrup. Place in refrigerator to cool down and thicken.
- Note: as the sauce cools down it will become thicker and thicker
- Goes great on ribs, burgers, grilled chick, etc.
