One of those reports came in late last week when a school resource officer was notified of a suspicious social media account that had allegedly been created by a Sevier County High School student.

Investigators say they worked with school officials to quickly identify the 17-year-old student responsible, and he was charged with harassment. The social media account did not contain any threats of violence, so officers do not believe it was a potential safety concern.

Officers are asking the community to please report any concerns to law enforcement in hopes of keeping everyone safe.
