TripAdvisor has released its annual ranking of the best hotels in America, and it included three from East Tennessee!
The 2019 Travelers' Choice Awards recognized top hotels in several different categories, including top overall, luxury, bargain, small, service, B&Bs and inns, romance, family and all-inclusive.
The Resort at Governor’s Crossing in Sevierville ranked in at the 14th best family hotel in the U.S., according to TripAdvisor.
The Maples Motor Inn in Pigeon Forge and Jack Huff’s in Gatlinburg both got good reviews for being a great U.S. bargain, ranking 21st and 23rd respectively, a news release from TripAdvisor said.
TripAdvisor explained in the release that the winners were determined based on millions of reviews and opinions collected from travelers in the past year, the 17th time they have given out the awards.
"The hallmarks of Travelers’ Choice Hotel winners are remarkable quality, service and value," TripAdvisor said in the release.
So far, the awards have recognized 7,812 properties in 94 countries and eight regions across the world.
"We congratulate the properties around the world recognized as the best hotels, which receive our highest honor – Travelers’ Choice Hotel awards,” Desirée Fish, the vice president of global communications for TripAdvisor, said in the release. “Travelers can consider these award winners when picking the perfect hotel for their needs – for any budget or trip type – to help inspire their travels in 2019.”
The top winners in each category for the U.S. are:
Top Luxury: The Peninsula Chicago – Chicago, Illinois ($627 per night)
Best Bargain: The Trails Inn – Eureka Springs, Arkansas ($67 per night)
Top Small: Desert Riviera Hotel – Palm Springs, California ($254 per night)
Best Service: The Inn at Lost Creek – Mountain Village, Colorado ($403 per night)
Best B&B/Inn: Jail Hill Inn – Galena, Illinois ($379 per night)
Best Romance: H2O Suites Hotel – Key West, Florida ($508 per night)
Best Family: Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort - Convention Center – Anaheim, California ($244 per night)
Best All-Inclusive: N/A
