WBIR teamed up with local organizations to collect supplies for Hurricane victims.

More than 170 cars stopped by on Friday to drop off donations for people in the hardest hit areas of Texas and Florida.

The supplies will go towards Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma victims.

The generosity of East Tennesseans was on full display. People donated 89 boxes of diapers, 60 brooms and mops, 203 cases of water, and enough miscellaneous items to fill 111 boxes.

Pilot Flying J will provide fuel for our trucks traveling to donate the supplies. United Van Lines will supply and drive the trucks. We'll fill up space provided by Salvation Army. Remote Area Medical will deliver any overflow items collected.
