Wintry weather cancels flights between Charlotte and Knoxville Sunday, others delayed

All flights between Knoxville and Charlotte were canceled Sunday and for early Monday morning. A few other flights faced long delays.

More than dozen flights between Knoxville and Charlotte were canceled Sunday because of wintry weather moving through East Tennessee and North Carolina.

Two flights expected to leave for Charlotte early Monday morning have been canceled. As of 7:40 p.m., a flight to Washington D.C. was delayed for an hour and a half and one flight from Chicago was delayed for an hour and 15 minutes.

All other flights set to depart or arrive after 8:00 p.m. were on time or expecting delays of approximately 30 minutes.

Earlier Sunday, a flight to Denver was delayed two and a half hours. A few flights, including another one to Washington D.C. and one from Philadelphia, were delayed between 30 minutes and an hour.
