Two Southern White Rhinos from the grasslands of Africa celebrated their 50th birthdays on Sunday at Zoo Knoxville.
Dolly and Polly were both able to celebrate with zookeepers and people who visited Zoo Knoxville.
Southern White Rhinos are a near threatened species, according to the World Wildlife Fund. For decades, many of the rhinos had been hunted for their horns and almost to extinction, the WWF says. The Southern White Rhino is one of only five rhino species that is not endangered.
