Knox Co. mayoral debate set for April 5

Five candidates are running for Knox County mayor. You can learn more about them at the debate set for April 5, which you can attend or watch live on WBIR and WBIR.com.

Knox County will elect a new mayor this year, and you'll get a chance to learn more about them in a debate scheduled for April 5.

The debate, set for JTV, located at 9600 Parkside Drive, is presented by the Knoxville Chamber and the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors, and will be broadcast live from 7 – 8 p.m. on WBIR and streaming on WBIR.com.

There are five candidates running to replace current mayor, Tim Burchett, who is term-limited.

The Republican candidates are: Bob Thomas, Glenn Jacobs, and Brad Anders. You can learn more about them here.

The Republican and Democratic primary will be held on May 1. One winner from each party will advance to the general election, set for August 2.
