Knox County voters reelected Sheriff Jimmy "JJ" Jones to another term in office by a wide margin.
Sheriff Jones was challenged in the Knox County primary election by Bobby Waggoner, a retired chief of detectives in the Sheriff's Office, and Charles "Sam" Hammett Jr.
All three ran as Republicans, and since there were no Democrats on the ballot, Jones won the race in the primary election.
