Harriman, Tenn. — A tractor trailer overturned on I-40W in Roane County, spilling what looks like scrap cars and closed the westbound lanes of the interstate.
All lanes have since reopened.
The crash was reported at mile marker 347, near the Harriman exit, at 2 p.m. Westbound traffic was being detoured off the interstate at that exit while the wreck was cleared.
The eastbound lanes are open.
TDOT and THP estimated it could take several hours to get the road back open. The road reopened around 4:30 but traffic was still moving slow.
