Several businesses around the Market Square and Gay Street area are without water this morning after a water main burst in downtown Knoxville.
Crews with the Knox Utilities Board said at least 17 water services were affected, and Wall Avenue at Market Square has been closed to traffic to repair the break. Repairs are expected to take 4 to 6 hours and Wall Avenue will likely be closed until 3 p.m. Thursday, according to KUB.
Commuters who need to park at Market Square Garage should head around to Clinch Avenue and Walnut Street.
