KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Lady Vols losing streak is over.

They got a much-needed win against Vanderbilt on Sunday, beating the Commodores 67-63 at Thompson-Boling Arena.

It's their first victory since Jan. 30. That win was also against Vanderbilt.

Vanderbilt didn't make things easy. They took the lead with 6 minutes remaining in the game, but that only gave the Lady Vols new life. Tennessee retook the lead, late in the fourth quarter and never looked back.

Rennia Davis led the Lady Vols with 18 points. She also grabbed 10 rebounds to record her 27th career double-double.

Freshman Jordan Horston finished the game with 16 points and 5 assists. Head coach Kellie Harper said the young lady is growing as a player.

"I thought Jordan was really aggressive to the basket, looking for her opportunities early on today," Harper said. "[She] still had the aggressiveness, but there was a little bit of poise there."

Horston only turned the ball over twice on Sunday. Her lowest mark since the first meeting with Vanderbilt.

Tennessee plays its final home game on Thursday night against Ole Miss.
