Mark your calendars, Vol fans!
UT has scheduled Fan Day for August 5 at Neyland Stadium. The Big Orange faithful is invited to watch at open practice at 2:30 p.m. that will be followed by an autograph session.
WANT MORE ON THE VOLS: Big Orange Locker
This replaces the autograph session that was usually held before the Orange and White game.
Admission and parking will be free.
Here's how it will work. Gate 21 will open to fans at 1:30 p.m. Fans interested in attending the autograph session will need to get a wrist band as they enter the stadium. They will be given out on a "first-come, first served" basis, so you may want to arrive early.
The autograph session will start after practice, probably around 4:30 p.m. There will be stations set up around the field according to position. Head coach Jeremy Pruitt will have his own table. Fans will be invited to line up to meet them and get an autograph, though every fan is not guaranteed an autograph because of time constraints.
Concession stands and the official team store will be open.
The clear bag policy will be in effect for the game. That means each person will only be allowed to have one clear plastic bag no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches or a one-gallon, clear, resealable plastic storage bag. Fans will also be allowed a small clutch purse not larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.
If bad weather forces the practice indoors, the autograph session will be canceled.
