A former Maryville High School football standout is one of two University of Tennessee Chattanooga players arrested over the weekend, WRCB reports.

Jail records show Isaiah Cobb and Nyvin Nelson, both 18, were stopped for speeding on Veterans Bridge in Chattanooga on Saturday morning.

The arresting officer wrote in an a report Cobb was driving 65 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.

Cobb is charged with speeding, possessing alcohol as a minor, driving under the influence and possessing a handgun while under the influence.

Nelson is charged with possessing alcohol as a minor and driving under the influence by consent.

The UTC Mocs roster lists Cobb as a running back from Maryville High School. Nelson is listed as a linebacker from Cartersville High School in Cartersville, GA.

Dr. Jay Blackman with UTC says both players are suspended from the team indefinitely.
