GoVols247: Elite safety commits to Vols, wants to take UT 'back to the top'

The four-star senior safety from Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Ga., announced Friday morning that he has committed to Tennessee, choosing the Vols over South Carolina, along with fellow finalists Auburn and Alabama, during a pep rally at his school.

The school that gave Jaylen McCollough his first scholarship offer more than two years ago turned out to be the right fit for him.

The four-star senior safety from Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Ga., announced Friday morning that he has committed to Tennessee, choosing the Vols over South Carolina, along with fellow finalists Auburn and Alabama, during a pep rally at his school.

The 6-foot, 194-pound McCollough, a Top247 prospect, revealed his decision less than three weeks after his latest visit to Tennessee on July 28 for the “Rocky Top Cookout” and just hours before the start of his senior season.
