KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — Tennessee honored its two seniors with a ceremony and a win against Ole Miss on Thursday, beating the Rebels 77-66.

Rennia Davis led the way with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists, while freshman Tamari Key and sophomore Rae Burrell add a combined 31 points.

Seniors Kamara Harris and Lou Brown both got the start on Thursday. Their journeys to this point were quite different. Harris has been a Lady Vol for all four years of her collegiate career. She grew up in Georgia, even setting a national single-game prep record for blocked shots in 2014 with 28. Earlier this week, Harris was named to the the SEC women's basketball Community Service Team.

Brown on the other hand, originally from Australia, transferred to Tennessee after playing four years at Washington State. Brown tore her ACL during an October practice in 2018, but has started all but one game this season.

Head coach Kellie Harper has applauded the consistency of these two throughout her transition as a head coach. Harper said after the game, senior night is always special.

"You're just reminded how special this place is, how much people enjoy their time here," Harper said.

As for the contest itself, Tennessee led by as many as 20 points, but Ole Miss kept it close for much of the game, cutting the lead to three in the third quarter. That's not ideal when playing a team which has yet to win an SEC game. The Lady Vols did however make some adjustments, keeping Ole Miss at arms length. Freshman Tamari Key scored 17 points, a new career-high.

Next up for the Lady Vols, the team will travel to Auburn to face a 10-16 Tiger squad. The game will be on Sunday at 3:05 p.m.
