When the NCAA Final Four gets underway in Phoenix, a huge piece of Bristol Motor Speedway will be on full display, but basketball fans might not even notice.

Colossus TV, the massive video display that typically hangs over Bristol's track, was shipped out West to give fans at the University of Phoenix Stadium a huge viewing experience.

The Final Four display will feature four high definition video screens that are 32 feet wide by 18 feet tall, stats screens that are 24 feet tall by 18 feet tall, and an LED top ring that will be 80 feet in diameter and six feet tall.

In total, the video boards will be made up of 764 LED panels and more than 12 million LED pixels.

The rest of Bristol's massive structure is being used at the scoring tables, music festivals, fan areas and other sporting events, like the PGA Tour Shell Houston Open, according to an announcement from Bristol Motor Speedway.

The Final Four display will actually be a smaller version of Colossus TV than the one that typically hangs over the NASCAR track. When in use at Bristol its four custom-built screens are approximately 30 feet tall by 63 feet wide.

“Anyone who has already seen Colossus TV in person understands the power and intensity it showcases,” said Jerry Caldwell, executive vice president and general manager of Bristol Motor Speedway. “But now, thousands of fans in attendance and millions of fans watching around the world will get a taste of how state-of-the art Colossus truly is."

The world's largest center-hung video display also had a primetime spot during last year's Battle at Bristol. The matchup between the University of Tennessee and University of Virginia broke the record for largest attendance at an American football game.

Once the NCAA Champion is crowned on Monday night, Colossus TV will be disassembled and sent back to East Tennessee. The track said it will return to The Last Great Colosseum for re-installation just in time for the Food City 500, April 21-23.
