Peyton Manning hasn’t played quarterback for the Broncos for two years but he still lives in the Denver area and he’s still connected to the team.

After receiving the Lamar Hunt Award earlier this week, Manning told media members that he’s still around football despite being retired.

“I still feel busy doing lots of different things, still feel stimulated,” Manning said (video here). “I still consider myself an ambassador to the game, certainly a fan of the game.

“[I] went to a lot of football games last year. Go to all the Broncos’ home games, made three New York Giants game. I get back to the University of Tennessee, my alma mater. I saw them play three times this year.

“So shockingly football is still a part of my life,” Manning joked.

Manning retired from the NFL as the game’s all-time leader in yards passing (71,940) and touchdowns (539) following the 2015 season.
