The University of Tennessee men's golf coach, Jim Kelson, announced his retirement after 20 years overseeing the Volunteers' program.

Kelson led the Vols to 17 trips to NCAA Regionals, seven NCAA Championship appearances and an SEC Championship in 2007.

The program's director of instruction/player development, Sean Pacetti, will serve as the interim head coach.

"Being the head men's gold coach at the University of Tennessee over the past 20 years has been the biggest privilege of my life," Kelson said. "I want to first thank all of my current and former players for all of their efforts and friendships over the ears. It was an honor to be your coach.

"It has really been a terrific 20-year career. I have made a lifetime of wonderful friendships. Go Vols!"

Kelson's 2,024 wins and 358 SEC wins are second-most in program history.
