KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — Drivers on I-40 in East Knox County will have to deal with lane closures over the next couple of months
Crews will be working on the Holston River Bridge starting on Sunday, July 19, and lanes and the speed limit will be reduced in both the east and westbound lanes of I-40 between Exit 394 (Asheville Hwy) to milemarker 396.
The work will be happening 24/7, depending on weather.
It's expeted to be complete in mid to late September.
TDOT urges drivers to use caution in the area.
