Knoxville shuttle service offering rides to and from Pigeon Forge

Visitors and locals can not enjoy attractions in both Knoxville and Sevierville without having to start their cars!

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — When people visit Knoxville and The Great Smoky Mountains, they are usually looking for two things — relaxation and adventure.

There is a service that lets them have both. The Knox - Smokies Shuttle is giving people rides from the Knoxville Visitors Center Monday through Thursday. The service brings people to the Historic Old Mill in Pigeon Forge.

The route departs Knoxville at 8:30 a.m. each morning and arrives in Pigeon forge by 9:30 a.m. Visitors then have the chance to explore the mountains before returning to the Historic Old Mill at 4:30 p.m. for their ride back to Knoxville.

The route from Pigeon Forge leaves from the Historic Old Mill at 9:30 a.m. and drops visitors off at the Knoxville Visitors Center. After spending a day in the city, riders should be back at the center for their ride home at 3:30 p.m.

"It's a nice, relaxing way to get up to the attractions in Sevierville but then come back, spend the night in Knoxville, eat your dinner and continue your adventure," said

Tickets cost $40 per person or $140 for groups of up to six people. They must be purchased before 4 p.m. the day before the trip. They also include a one full-day trolley wristband per person for Pigeon Forge.

Anyone who wants to buy a ticket should call the service at (865) 523-7263, or at 1-800-727-8045.
