Things are getting magical again.
At least they are in the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is a Harry Potter movie except in New York, in the past and without Harry Potter (but with a very dapper Eddie Redmayne instead). The first trailer gives us only a very, very tiny glimpse at the film, which is due in theaters in Nov. of 2016, but it does certainly capture a sense of wonder. Whether that sense of wonder is the one that Harry Potter charmed us all with for so many years remains to be seen, but given that J.K. Rowling wrote the screenplay (which is loosely based on a very short "Hogwarts textbook" she wrote) we have faith. You can watch the full trailer above and marvel at Redmayne's MAGIC face below:
