Weather Alert: The threat for severe weather has finally decreased this evening...

A strong cold front and low pressure system moving through the region is fueled severe storms today. That threat is now coming to an end.

TENNESSEE, USA — The Tornado Watch has been canceled and the threat for severe weather had ended.

A strong low-pressure system moving to our north added enough instability for storms to produce some very large hail and damaging winds.

Widespread power outages are still being reported and there is a lot of debris on the roads... Use caution if you have to be out and about!

Check out the golf ball to lime size hail stones (1.75"-2" in diameter) that fell in Loudon County this afternoon!

Thankfully, all warnings have been allowed to expire.

While we are still expecting showers and some embedded rumbles of thunder overnight, the threat for severe weather had ended.

Cool and cloudy conditions are expected Saturday with scattered showers gradually tapering off late in the day. Highs in the low 60s.

Cloud cover decreases Sunday with pleasant conditions expected for Mother's Day.
