Another round of snow showers is causing some icy, snowy conditions on the roads this morning -- particularly in northeastern Tennessee and Southwest Kentucky.
The snow system is only expected to bring flurries and possibly locally light snow coverage in most of the Valley, but in the Smokies and in the northeastern region into the Tri-Cities and Southeast Kentucky-- the NWS says there is a possibility for 1-3 inches in places.
Grainger, Claiborne, Campbell, Scott, Greene, and many other counties in those areas have seen snow cover the roads this morning. The state highways and roads around Tazewell, Tenn. and Bean Station are particularly rough drives this morning, as well as I-81 and I-26 from Kingsport south all the way to Asheville.
