**Periods of heavy rain will be possible across East Tennessee, southern Kentucky and southwest Virginia starting through the weekend and into early next week. Localized flooding may occur in low-lying or poor drainage areas.**

Tonight: Off and on rain chances will linger overnight with lows in the lower 70s. Muggy conditions may lead to patchy fog by Saturday morning.

Saturday: Scattered showers and storms but not a total washout! Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s with southwesterly winds at 5-10 mph.

Sunday: Partly to mostly cloudy and staying muggy with lingering rain chances. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s with light southwesterly winds.

Monday: Scattered showers and storms with partly to mostly cloudy skies and highs in the lower to middle 80s.

Tuesday: Rain chances stay elevated with highs in the lower 80s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a few showers and storms. Highs will be in the lower 80s.

Thursday: Finally beginning to dry out! We should have partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower to middle 80s.

Friday: Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the middle 80s.
