KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — ***** A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the following TN counties until 2 a.m. Thursday: Anderson, Cumberland, Fentress, Morgan, Scott, Campbell, Claiborne, and Union. The watch is also in effect for these KY counties: McCreary, Whitley, and Bell.*****

Tonight: Partly cloudy with spotty showers and a few rumbles of thunder. Some of these storms could be strong to severe, with potential to produce gusty winds, heavy rain and damaging hail. Lows will be near 70 degrees with muggy conditions.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with elevated rain chances and highs in the lower 80s. Winds will become breezy out of the southwest at 10-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph at times. As of now, it looks like we'll have a round showers and storms in the morning then more activity developing during the afternoon and evening. Locally heavy rain and a few strong storms are possible, especially with the second round of rain. Lows will be in the middle to upper 60s Thursday night.

Friday: Partly sunny with highs will be in the middle 80s. Most of the day should be dry but we could have some showers and storms arriving later in the evening. Check back for updates! Lows will be near 70 degrees Friday night.

Saturday: Partly sunny with a chance of showers and storms and highs in the middle to upper 80s. Plenty of muggy humidity will make it feel more like the lower 90s so stay hydrated and pay attention to changing weather conditions if you have outdoor plans! Lows will be near 70 degrees Saturday night.

Sunday: Partly sunny with scattered showers and storms. Highs will be in the upper 80s with heat indices in the 90s. Drink plenty of water if you have outdoor plans and keep an eye to the sky! Lows will be in the lower 70s Sunday night.

Monday: Scattered rain chances with highs in the upper 80s. Lows will be near 70 degrees Monday night.

Tuesday: Partly sunny with lingering rain chances and highs in the middle 80s. Lows will be in the upper 60s Tuesday night.

Wednesday: A mix of clouds and sun with a few showers possible. Highs will be in the middle 80s.
